The MüSIM Young Researcher Award is granted on an annual basis, valued at 500 € and open to all early career scientists including PhD students, postdocs, and habilitands with first authorship in a recent (within the last 12 months) outstanding scientific paper published in the field of Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Computer Science contributing to the topic of Intelligent Matter. We received several remarkable applications with impressive resumes for the MüSIM 2025 Young Researcher Award.

This year’s finalist was chosen to be Alejandro Martínez Manjarres of University of Münster for his contribution:

Photoregulated Supramolecular Polymerization through Halogen Bonding

in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2025, 64, e20241972.

He also gave a short talk on this work during the symposium.

Each poster prize is valued at 100 € and the winners for the MüSIM 2025 Poster Prizes were:

Unidirectional Molecular Adaptation by Coupled Stimuli

by Sebastian Baumert, Torsten Dünnebacke, Sabine Käfer, Sebastian Hochstädt, Walter Robert Linke, Michael Ryan Hansen, Johannes Neugebauer, and Gustavo Fernández of University of Münster
