Participation in teaching
The evaluation of our courses is very important to us. Furthermore, teaching retreats are held every six months at the end of the semester with all AE Hechler lecturers. We review the semester together, discuss the most important findings as well as (didactic) experiences and feedback on our courses.
From our point of view, the students are the experts on what makes a course instructive in the truest sense of the word. We therefore ask for wishes, tips and feedback on our (already held and planned) events and ask for their assessment and evaluation of didactic approaches, content ideas and event concepts.
A special form of cooperation and participation has been established in the AE research colloquium: Adolescents (e.g. from the voluntary youth council of the city of Münster) visit our research colloquium once a semester. The students present their research projects to the adolescents and enable an exchange on the project content in terms of science communication. This form of exchange not only provides he adolescents with a profound insight into the research of AE Hechler and the option to receive expert feedback, but also allows the students to practise communicating their scientific projects clearly and comprehensibly to young people.
