Submission of final thesis

Please note the following information:

Changing the title:

Please note that changing the registered topic will automatically result in the final thesis being failed.

Declaration of originality:

Please note the information on the Examinations Office I website regarding the declaration of originality:
Link: Information on the declaration of originality

Printed copies:

You must submit both printed copies to Examinations Office I by the deadline. If your submission date falls outside our opening hours, you must send your thesis by post or deposit it in the deadline mailbox at the University of Münster (Schlossplatz 2). In both cases, the shipment must be addressed to the Examinations Office. Depositing it in the internal post box is not sufficient. If sending by post, we recommend choosing “registered mail” and keeping the proof of posting for documentation purposes.

Digital copy:

You can send the digital copy directly to your two reviewers (NOT to the Examination Office) by email. A declaration must be included stating that the printed copies submitted match the digital PDF copies submitted. This declaration must contain the following:

I hereby confirm that the printed copies submitted/sent by mail on XX.XX.XXXX are identical in every respect to the digital PDF version transmitted with this email.

(Please be sure to include the date on which you submitted the printed copy to the Examination Office or sent it by post!)

You can include the text of this assurance in the email text.

From now on (end of May 2025), it is no longer necessary to submit CDs!

Please note: This rule only applies to the submission of final theses to Examinations Office I. The Examinations Office for Mathematics and Natural Sciences will inform you (as will we) about the form of digital submission in the topic notification!
