Research Project
I am currently investigating the visual perception of non-rigid motion and how these
ambiguous and fascinating motion signals are processed in the visual system. I am
particularly interested in the processing of fluid motion objects (like fire, smoke or perhaps
even collective motion) which, in contrast to articulated or elastic motion, do not have any
form of fixed global structure. How does the brain segment, integrate and interpret these
complex and seemingly unpredictable signals in order to assign them to object types?
