At the next mini-conference, research projects from forensic medicine and the geosciences that work with mass spectrometry will be presented. There will then be another opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas.
Dr. Jennifer Schürenkamp, Institute of Forensic Medicine, Title: „Massenspektrometrie in der Forensischen Toxikologie“
Dr. Felix Genske, Institute of Mineralogy, Title: „Die räumliche und zeitliche Entwicklung von Vulkanischen Systemen der tiefen Erde anhand massenspektrometrischer Untersuchungen“
Where: PharmaCampus: Corrensstrasse 48, Room: PhC 117 (“Microscopy Room”, 1st floor)
Prof. Justin Walley from the University of Iowa will give a lecture on protein mass spectrometry, PTMs and single cell proteomics in plants on November 8th.
Location: Lecture hall SP4
The first general meeting of the Mass Spectrometry Network as a scientific institution took place on June 26th. Information was exchanged and a new board was elected. Afterwards there was an opportunity to exchange ideas and news from the working groups over coffee and cake.
Archiving and publishing research data at the WWU:
In the short lecture, the WWU services for archiving and publishing research data will be presented. In "datasafe" (datasafe.uni-muenster.de/), scientists can complement their research data with descriptive metadata and archive the resulting dataset for ten years on servers of the WWU Münster free of charge. Under the principles of open science and open data, it has also become established in recent years to publish research data with as open access as possible. With "datastore" (datastore.uni-muenster.de/), the ULB offers a service that also enables the low-threshold publication of research data. With the help of datastore, all researchers at the University of Münster can publish their research data free of charge and thus make it permanently available worldwide. The presentation will also address accompanying topics such as metadata, persistent identifiers (DOIs) and the traceability of research data.
This will be a digital event. If interested please write a short e-mail to lena.telgmann@uni-muenster.de
In May 2023, the third mini-conference of the network mass spectrometry will take place. Dr. Cornelissen from the Institute of Biochemistry, Dr. Soltwisch from the Institute of Hygiene and Prof. Dr. Hayen from the Institut of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry will present their work in the field of mass spectrometry. There will also be an opportunity to talk about experiences and new ideas.
Where: PharmaCampus: Corrensstrasse 48, Room: PhC 117 ("Mikroskopiersaal", level 2)
Following a great start in May 2022, we continue our series of mini-conferences: research groups from the field of surface physics and pharmaceutical and medical chemistry will present their work in the field of mass spectrometry. There will also be an opportunity to talk about experiences and new ideas.
Where: PharmaCampus: Corrensstrasse 48, Room: PhC 117 ("Mikroskopiersaal", level 2)
The network mass spectrometry connects all researchers that work with mass spectrometers. This discussion ist explicitely for PhD and Master students of the university. We will discuss ideas for the optimization of collaboration and exchange on laboratory level. Is it joint trainings or Mattermost chats? What topics would be interesting in joint trainings and which obstacles are the biggest in daily lab life?
Corrensstr. 28, room W043, come along and join in.
Information event with Dr. Blank-Burian (WWU IT) about the application of storage space, as well as the usage, organisation and security of stored research data.
This will be a digital event. If interested please write a short e-mail to lena.telgmann@uni-muenster.de
More than 20 working groups at the University of Münster work with mass spectrometers. This afternoon, several working groups will present their research projects in this field: Prof. Dr. Achten (Institut für Geologie und Paläontologie), Prof. Dr. König (Core Unit Proteomics), Dr. Mormann (Institut für Hygiene), Dr. Cramer (Institut für Lebensmittelchemie), Dr. Nowak (MEET), Dr. Eirich (Institut für Biologie und Biotechnologie der Pflanzen), Dr. Sendker (Institut für Pharmazeutische Biologie und Phytochemie), Dr. Vielhaber (Institut für Anorganische und Analytische Chemie). During the subsequent get-together we will have the opportunity to talk about experiences and new ideas.
