Malin Zoe Richter studied Communication Science and Economics at the University of Münster from 2019 to 2022. Subsequently, she completed her Master’s degree in Market and Media Research at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences. Her Master’s thesis, “WhatsApp group discussions with adolescents: Methodological potentials and limitations compared to traditional focus groups,” was a finalist for the 2026 BVM/VMÖ/SWISS INSIGHTS Young Researcher award. Since May 2026, Malin Zoe Richter has been a research associate at the Online Communication Lab led by Prof. Dr. Thorsten Quandt. Her work focuses on social media research, data collection, and potential uses of AI in communication research.
