Short CV

Juliane Hessmann has been working as International Communications Orchestrator at the DAX-listed DHL Group since October 2025.

From April 2023 to September 2025, she was Communication Manager at the DAX-listed Brenntag Group, where she was responsible for internal and external communications in the EMEA region. During this time, she was named one of the ‘30 under 30’ in the communications industry by PR Report in 2025.

Alongside her work, she continues to be involved as Communication Manager at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Alumni Association (ASEV) and works freelance as a podcast host, media trainer and presenter – among other things, she implemented a launch campaign for the start-up RheinPorts.

Before joining Brenntag, Juliane Hessmann worked as a Specialist Corporate Communications at ista from 2022 to 2023, where she helped shape internal and external communication measures. In addition, she was the host of the podcast ‘Wirtschaft einfach erklärt’ (Economics Simply Explained) for the Handelsblatt newspaper for almost two years. She also took over the social media communication of a former NRW minister.

She began her career as a trainee at medical relations in the field of healthcare PR and as a journalist at Radio Essen and WAZ, where she received several awards for her journalistic work.

Juliane Hessmann completed her master's degree in strategic communication at the IfK at the University of Münster and her bachelor's degree in social sciences at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. A stay abroad took her to the University of Zurich. She was also a scholarship holder of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and participated in its journalism programme for young talent. She is currently completing a female leadership programme at the foundation and volunteers at the Politisches Forum Ruhr.
