Who we are looking for

MedienAlumni Münster is looking for committed communication practitioners from all sectors who see their time at the Department of Communication as an important part of their career path and want to share their experience, skills, and contacts with others. We are looking for alumni who are now working in journalism, PR, advertising, publishing or other professional fields. By means of the association, they should contribute their experience to the work of the department so that the teaching and research activities, as well as the active students can benefit from it.

What we offer

MedienAlumni offers a growing network of contacts between academia and practice. The association offers its members the opportunity to keep up to date with current developments at the Department of Communication, relevant research findings, the activities of academics and other alumni via an annual newsletter. In recent semesters, MedienAlumni has participated in the graduation ceremonies and supported public events.

The association is represented by a four-member board:

• Dr. Felix Flemming, Head of Political and Social Research at forsa (1st Chairman)
• Dr. Anne Mollen, research associate at the Department of Communication at the University of Münster (2nd Chair)
• Dr. Stephan Völlmicke, academic advisor and practice coordinator at the Department of Communication at the University of Münster (treasurer)
• Anna-Maria Volpers, research associate at the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) (secretary)

The association relies on the moral and financial support of its members. The annual membership fee is 20 euros. The association welcomes suggestions for further activities.
