Research Projects
As a universitary institution, it is an important goal of our outpatient unit to conduct research. A major focus of our studies is to evaluate and optimize psychotherapeutic treatments for BDD. As part of your treatment, we will perform thorough, on-going diagnostic assessments, before and after therapy as well as during follow-up appointments to assess long-term outcome.
In addition to psychotherapy research, we also conduct studies investigating factors associated with the maintenance and possibly even etiology of BDD.
While some studies are carried out in our laboratory, others may be completed online. Depending on the specific setting and duration of the study, participants may receive compensation for their participation.
