The Data Science Group, which is headed by Prof. Dr. Tanya Braun, is part of the Computer Science Department at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Münster. The group's research and teaching activities are focusing on different aspects of data processing and data science all the way to artificial intelligence under the notion of agent theory.
The RG Data Science will be part of KI 2023, the main conferences of the German AI community, through a tutorial on semantic systems under minimal data and text understanding. The tutorial is a collaborative effort between Tanya Braun together with Magnus Bender and Marcel Gehrke from the University of Lübeck.

In cooperation with Christian Thomas and Martin Hasselblatt of the Institut of Neuropathology of the UKM, we are offering a thesis project in the area of machine learning. The aim is to predict a gene mutation from DNA methylation profiles.
