Loan Devices

The IVV1 provides the institutes and facilities of Departments 8 and 9 with various devices for temporary loan. This service supports you in the event of breakdowns, transitional phases, conferences, and special projects. The following device are available for loan:

"Meeting Owl" conference camera
For hybrid events or conferences that take place both on-site and online (e.g., via Zoom), Owl Labs' “Meeting Owl” is available. This 360° conference camera enables optimal sound and video transmission for all participants.

Laptops
Do you need a laptop at short notice? We offer modern devices for hire, which are usually available immediately. It is also possible to reserve several laptops for conferences, workshops, or similar events. Please let us know in advance if you have a large requirement so that we can ensure availability.

Desktop PCs
If your work computer breaks down, IVV1 will provide you with a fully functional replacement computer with the usual software environment for the duration of the repair or replacement. Desktop computers can also be provided at short notice, for example for guests.

💡 Note on software and configurations:
If special software or settings are required, please let us know in advance—we will prepare the devices (desktop computers and laptops) accordingly.

Monitors
If necessary, e.g. for temporary workstations and events, monitors including cables can be borrowed.

Additional accessories
You can borrow all standard cables, various types of adapters, computer mice and keyboards, USB sticks, and other accessories from us, or receive them permanently and free of charge. Simply let us know what you need and we will find a suitable solution for you.
