General Terms and Conditions of Business and Use (Training)

Status: 05.10.2023

1. scope of application

The following General Terms and Conditions in the version valid at the time of registration shall apply exclusively to the business relationship between CIT and the participant.

2 Conclusion of contract

Your registration constitutes an offer to us to conclude a contract. We accept this offer if we make a course place available to you. Please note that our registration is personal and non-transferable. The participant may only take part in the software training after the conclusion of the contract. Only students and doctoral candidates of the CIT are eligible to participate, provided they are registered as participants in the registration system after the registration deadline. If eligible participants do not appear at the start of the course, their entitlement will be forfeited. In this case, the lecturers can make course places available to other interested parties on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.

3. waiting lists

If a course date is already fully booked, interested parties can place themselves on a waiting list for the date and remove themselves from this list in the "My CIT software training" area. As soon as a course place becomes free, it is automatically allocated to the first person on the waiting list. The waiting lists are regularly deleted after the end of a course phase.

4. certificates of attendance

Certificates of attendance will be made available for download in the personal area "My CIT Software Training" after the course. The prerequisite for this is the presence of the participant during the entire course, as confirmed by the instructor. Certificates of attendance can be downloaded up to a maximum of 24 months after the course date. Certificates of attendance will only be made available digitally.
5 Cancellation / Revocation / Expiration of the course place
Registration for courses is binding. However, the participant has the possibility to withdraw from the contract up to 48 hours before the start of the course by online cancellation. Anyone who repeatedly fails to show up for course dates will be barred from using the course program for a period of six months. The suspension will automatically come into effect if three courses have been missed within 12 months. The current status can be viewed at any time in the "My CIT software training" area; in addition, an e-mail notification is sent for each missed course.

6. cancellation of course dates

If a course cannot take place, e.g. due to force majeure, illness or shortfall of the minimum number of 7 participants, the participant will be informed by e-mail. A claim for a place in another course or a repetition of the course does not exist.

7. exclusion of liability

CIT assumes no liability for property damage or financial loss incurred by participants in connection with the training courses or their cancellation and for claims among participants.
