Introduction to Matlab

Content: Matlab is a powerful interactive programming environment that enables the creation of applications in areas such as mathematics, computer science, natural and geosciences, medicine and economics using a programming language adapted to mathematical problems. In addition, the system offers ready-made solutions (so-called toolboxes) for many disciplines, which facilitate the implementation of own applications. The lecture gives an introduction to the programming language of Matlab and presents an overview of the most important toolboxes. This provides the basics for the use of the system in research projects.
