Arno R. Holl

Arno Holl is a doctoral candidate and currently writes a dissertaion on “’Su bivir es á la lengua del agua.’ Being Kukama between Negation, Affirmation, and the River World (ca. 1910-2003)” (título de trabajo). 
En este trabajo analiza la historia de comunidades del pueblo indígena Kukama en la Amazonía peruana durante el siglo veinte. El cuerpo principal de fuentes es una colección de historia oral fruto de un trabajo de campo por futuros profesores indígenas al comienzo de los años 2000. Un enfoque especial está en el largo período de no-identificación como Kukama y/o indígenas, y el cambio de actitud desde los años noventa. Otro aspecto importante son las relaciones espirituales que conectan a los Kukama con su territorio.
