Thomas Nikolaus

I am a professor in mathematics at the Fachbereich Mathematik und Informatik of the Universität Münster .

My research centers on higher-categorical methods in geometry and topology, with a focus on algebraic K-theory, homotopy theory, and higher algebra.

I am particularly interested in trace methods and their role in topological cyclic homology, prismatic cohomology, and related invariants. My work also connects to mathematical physics and noncommutative geometry, including Hochschild-type homology theories.
