Brazil has been a strategic partner country of the University of Münster for many years. Cultivating, supporting and further developing this partnership between Münster and Brazil with its numerous collaborations is the main goal of the Brazil Centre. The cooperation between the University of Münster and Brazilian partners is promoted by the Brazil Centre at all levels: cooperation projects at university level, joint research projects between academics as well as individual student exchange. The Brazil Centre is available to all institutes and faculties and gives support to cooperations related to all thematic fields.
Within the University of Münster, the Brazil Centre fulfils a comprehensive cross-sectional function:
- across 15 faculties,
- across the areas of research, teaching, study and transfer,
- across different targets groups ranging from professors to young researchers and students and serves
- as complement to other central institutions at the University of Münster (International Office, Welcome Centre, Graduate Centre, Language Centre etc.).
