The History of the Bible
Icon Cycle on Display in Its Entirety for the First Time

Until 21 September, the Bible Museum is showing the exhibition ‘The History of the Bible’. For the first time, a Greek icon cycle from the 18th century, which traces the life of Jesus in six stages, can be seen in its entirety. All scenes are taken from the Gospel of Luke and range from the depiction of the newborn to the Ascension.
In addition, visitors can gain an insight into the beginnings of the Bible through manuscripts on various materials. The exhibition also covers Martin Luther and the Reformation and the Peasants' Wars of 1525. The Bible Museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and admission is free.
