At this year's Summa cum Laude ceremony at the University of Münster, Dr. Janosch Menke was awarded the Dissertation Award of the Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy for his outstanding dissertation.

The German Research Foundation approves the continuation of the Chembion Research Training Group at the University of Münster. The program for research into ion channels receives around 4.5 million euros.

49 pharmacy students from the University of Münster visited Dr. Willmar Schwabe GmbH in Karlsruhe on 12 October 2023 as part of an industrial excursion.

On 27 October 2023, the graduates of the 2nd State Examination in Pharmacy were formally discharged at the University of Münster's PharmaCampus. We congratulate all graduates on passing their state exams and wish them every success in their pharmacy internship and for their future careers!

On the occasion of the REACH SCIENCE TO START-UP CONVENTION, Dr Boris Mo (Inst. f. Pharm. Biol. und Phytochemisty) was awarded the REACH Thesis Award.

The Rottendorf Foundation from Ennigerloh awarded its prizes for outstanding scientific achievements in the field of pharmacy and pharmacology.

On the occasion of the DPhG Annual Meeting 2023 in Tübingen, Alexander Gast (far right in the photo), PhD student in the research group of Prof. Jose at the Institute of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, has received a poster award from Taylor & Francis.

Three discussion partners will report on their own career paths and then answer the participants' questions.

For the outstanding achievements in clinical pharmacy associated with her dissertation, Dr. Tanja Gangnus was awarded the Walter Schunack Prize at the annual meeting of the  DPhG in Tübingen.

Graduate School of Natural Products (GS-NP) together with German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provides two additional scholarships starting in 2024 for a maximum of 4 years.

On the occasion of the annual meeting of the "Computers in Chemistry" subdivision of the German Chemical Society (GDCh), Dr. Janosch Menke received the CIC Award for Computational Chemistry for his outstanding dissertation.

The evaluation prize "Goldener Spatel" was awarded again this year by the Fachschaft Pharmazie during the 19th Phar^MSchool Symposium. We congratulate Dr. Fabian Herrmann (2nd prize) and award winner Prof. Dr. Marcel Bermúdez.

On the occasion of the 19th Phar^MSchool Symposium, the PharmaCampus gathered representatives from research, teaching and industry in Münster on June 16, 2023. Under the theme "Common Diseases", six student groups presented their research results of the last four semesters to the professional audience.

On the occasion of the annual meeting of the German Society for Phytotherapy from June 15 to 17, 2023 in Bamberg, the poster contribution of Mr. Boris Mo (IPBP) was awarded a poster prize. The topic: "N-glycans of Tamm-Horsfall protein: sex-dependent and modulable by Equisetum arvense extract? - A mass spectrometric study".

On 30.04.2023, Prof. Thomas Schmidt will open the garden year 2023 in the Medicinal Plant's Garden with the first public Sunday guided tour . The tour starts at 10 am and lasts approx. 2 hours. Admission is free, a voluntary donation is possible. Due to the limited number of participants, we ask for online registration.

On 26.4.2023, the ceremonial graduation of the graduates of the 2nd State Examination in Pharmacy took place at the PharmaCampus of the University of Münster. 48 students successfully passed the state examination this spring. We congratulate all graduates on passing the state examination and wish them every success in their pharmacy internship and for their future careers!

On the occasion of the 35th Molecular Modeling Workshop in Erlangen, Ms. Joana Massa from the research group of Prof. Koch at the Institute of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, has received a poster and a presentation award. Ms. Massa is a member of the ChemBion graduate program.

... among others, the PharMSchool project "Digital tablets from the 3D printer - bringing innovative drug production into teaching".  

At a ceremony in the castle, the symbolic cheque was presented to Dr. Frauke Weber and Dr. Stefan Esch.

The new film on the study of pharmacy in Münster offers a comprehensive insight into the many facets of the course. It vividly shows the fascinating opportunities offered by the degree programme and provides insights into the various sub-disciplines and research topics. The students also have their say and report on their experiences during their studies.

For months, medicines such as ibuprofen or fever juices for children have been out of stock in Germany. Press officer Norbert Robers and Prof. Dr. Klaus Langer talked about the reasons for this worrying situation in the supply of medicines.
