%TOC% ---+Outlook 2007 mit vmware unter Ubuntu und CentOS Mit dieser Lösung kann man auch unter Linux (getestet mit Ubuntu und CentOS) in den "Genuß" von Outlook 2007 und anderen Windows Applikationen kommen.%BR%Hierzu wird vmware-server (mit Windows XP und Office) und rdesktop 1.5. benötigt.%BR% Rdesktop 1.5. ermöglicht die Darstellung von "seamless windows", d.h. man kann sich die benötigten Applikationen direkt auf seinen Linux Desktop holen. Diese Lösung sollte auch mit anderen Virtualisierungsprogrammen wie z.B. Virtual-Box funktionieren. Dieses hat gegenüber einer Nutzung von Outlook auf dem Desktop innerhalb einer virtuellen Maschine u.a. den Vorteil, dass sich das Erinnerungsfenster bei anstehenden Terminen in den Vordergrund drängt. ---++1. Vmware-server und rdesktop installieren ---+++Ubuntu Unter Ubuntu erfolgt dieses am einfachsten mit [[http://www.getautomatix.com/wiki/index.php?title=Installation Automatix]].%BR% Der rdesktop in der Version 1.5. sollte hier schon vorhanden sein, ansonsten kann dieser einfach mit =apt-get install rdesktop= nachinstalliert werden. ---+++CentOS Unter CentOS 5 ist die Installation von vmware ein wenig aufwendiger, aber in dem [[http://www.howtoforge.com/vmware_server_centos5.0 hier befindlichen HowTo]] sehr gut beschrieben.%BR% Danach wird [[http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages/rdesktop/ rdesktop 1.5.]] nachinstalliert (bei CentOS? 5 das Paket rdesktop-1.5.0-0.el5.rf.i386.rpm), da CentOS 5 nur die Version 1.4.1. mitbringt, welche noch keinerlei seamless Funktionalität besitzt. ---++2. Office einrichten und auf den Desktop bringen Nun holt man sich das entsprechene Image von wwuserv2, hier ist bereits ein User eingerichtet und Office 2007 mit Outlook installiert. Per Konqueror direkt zu erreichen mit: =smb://wwuserv2/zivstore$/VM-Machines= %BR% Dort dann den Ordner =WinXPSP2Office07= auf die Platte kopieren. =Benutzername: virtual= %BR% =Passwort: remote07= Jetzt sollte in der vmware Office als User virtual gestartet, bzw. das Outlook entsprechend eingerichtet werden.%BR% Da die virtuelle Maschine als DNS wwudc2 und wwudc3 benutzt, sollte problemlos eine Verbindung mit exchange.wwu.de möglich sein. Hat man alles entsprechend eingerichtet, meldet man sich im Windows ab und schließt das Frontend von vmware. Will man das Hochfahren der virtuellen Maschine automatisieren, kann man hierfür den Befehl%BR% =/usr/bin/vmrun start "/pfad/Windows XP Professional.vmx"= %BR% benutzen.%BR% Mit einem =/usr/bin/vmrun list= kann überprüft werden, ob der Start erfolgreich war.%BR% Sollte die virtuelle Maschine nicht hochfahren, liegt dieses meist daran, dass bestimmte Devices in vmware auf Autodetect stehen, diese müssen dann entsprechend fest eingetragen werden. Die Programme können folgendermaßen aufgerufen werden (am Beispiel Outlook):%BR% =rdesktop -rsound -A -s "c:\seamlessrdp\seamlessrdpshell.exe c:\programme\microsoft office\office12\outlook.exe" 192.168.202.128 -u virtual -p remote07= %BR% Der Switch =-rsound= kann auch weglassen werden, wenn man keinen Sound benötigt. Die IP-Adresse unterscheidet sich je nach vmware-Installation. Diese sollte in Windows z.b. per ipconfig in der Eingabeaufforderung nachgeprüft und im Aufruf entsprechend ersetzt werden. Es ist aufgrund der Beschränkungen des Terminal Servers in Windows XP allerdings nur möglich ein Programm gleichzeitig in dieser Weise zu starten.
