Prof. Seth C. Lewis

Seth C. Lewis is Professor, Director of Journalism, and the Shirley Papé Chair in Emerging Media at the University of Oregon. His research examines the social implications of emerging technologies, including generative AI’s disruption of journalism and technology’s role in growing public skepticism toward key knowledge institutions. He is co-author of News After Trump: Journalism’s Crisis of Relevance in a Changed Media Culture (Oxford University Press, 2021).
