Personal Background:
I was born and raised in Belgium, but I hadn’t lived there since my 18th birthday.
I did a gap year volunteering in Africa and Peru and perfecting my English skills at st-clares oxford.
Study Background:
- I did my bachelor’s degree at Maastricht university – University College Maastricht in Liberal arts and sciences. There I had the opportunity to create my own curriculum consisting primarily of neuropsychology and sciences.
- I did my exchange at the Université de Montreal in the faculty of medicine.
- I did my master’s degree at King’s college London in Clinical Neurodevelopmental Sciences
Other research experience prior to TReND:
- Bachelor Dissertation on the social behaviour of children explained by DNA methylation and attachment differentiation with their mother.
- Master thesis on the influence of Biliary Atresia on intellectual ability and structural brain characteristics.

Motivation:
I joined the consortium to align my neuroscience background with my interest in motor control and conditions like cerebral palsy. It’s an opportunity to collaborate with experts, gain deeper insights into motor control in clinical populations, and contribute to research that improves treatments and therapies for individuals with motor impairments while advancing my long-term career goals.
