The library at the Institute of Geophysics holds about 21, 000 monographs, active subscriptions to numerous journals and 1, 600 maps on geophysics.

Using the library

During the opening hours our library can be used by all interested visitors. No registration is needed. As it is a reference library, borrowing in very urgent cases is posssible for a short time. Participants of geophysical lectures can borrow some special text books bought by means of tuition fees for a longer period. In the library a copier is available.

Interlibrary loan

Literature unavailable in Münster can be ordered by  interlibrary loan  from other libraries. Requested books can be collected from the University library; requested articles will be delivered as a copy.

Electronic journals

For members of the university the  EZB  provides the possibility to read in more than 20, 000 scientific full-text journals and a further 20, 000 e-journals with open access.
