Four Open Positions in Quantum Biology and Quantum Communication

Our group at the Department for Quantum Technology is growing, and we're looking for four new team members across two exciting projects, both funded by the BMFTR:
PhD Student – Quantum Biology (ORQID)
Can a fluorescent protein measure magnetic fields inside living cells? Find out with FLIM, single-photon counting and a lot of curiosity. 3 years, E 13 TV-L (75%). To the job posting
Postdoc – Quantum Sensing (ORQID)
Take the lead where quantum optics meets biology, coordinate our experiments on spin qubits in proteins and mentor students. Full-time, E 13 TV-L, until 09/2029. To the job posting
PhD Student – Quantum Communication (Vernetzt)
Run quantum optics experiments with semiconductor quantum dots and help take our demonstrators from the lab into field trials. 4 years, E 13 TV-L (75%). To the job posting
Research Associate – Quantum Networks (Vernetzt)
Build the quantum internet with us, from entangled photon sources to experiments in real fiber networks. Full-time, E 13 TV-L, 01/2027 to 06/2030. To the job posting
Application deadline for all positions: 25 September 2026. We look forward to hearing from you!
