Studying and working at the Medical Library

The Medical Library provides you with the following infrastructure for studying and working:

• Individual booths / reading rooms [de]
• Group workplaces /bistro [de]
• PC workplaces [de]
• Copiers / scanners
• Lockers
• Relaxation room

You can find more work spaces in the central library and the decentralised libraries in the university's list of learning spaces.

For a respectful learning environment

• Appropriate volume

  • Please maintain a quiet work atmosphere in the study areas.
  • Limit conversations to the bistro or group study rooms.
  • In the foyer, quiet chatting is allowed.
  • Please set your mobile devices to silent.

• Food and drinks

  • Eating is allowed exclusively in the bistro, but please no pizza, fries, etc.
  • Resealable, spill-proof drink containers may be taken anywhere.
  • Keep your study spaces clean.

Lockers

Day Lockers

Lockers may only be used during building opening hours. Lockers found locked outside of opening hours will be opened by staff.

Long-Term Lockers

Lockers are available for students who need to store study materials for extended periods and use them daily. Keys can be obtained, returned, and reserved at the lending desk.

Changing table

The Medical Library has a changing table. This is located in the barrier-free WC. The changing table can be used during the entire opening hours of the library. If you would like to use the changing table, please contact our staff at the circulation desk. You will receive a key there in exchange for a deposit.
