This course aims to refresh your knowledge of fundamental linguistic concepts and theories introduced in previous linguistics courses while deepening your understanding through the application of various methodological approaches to linguistic analysis. The course focuses on three major areas of linguistic research: variationist sociolinguistics, language attitudes, and corpus linguistics.

As a research-driven course, it emphasizes practical learning through hands-on assignments and research activities. Throughout the course, you will gain experience in applying linguistic research methods and developing analytical skills. Overall, the course is designed to provide you with a solid understanding of how to design, conduct, and present an academic research project in linguistics.
