Overview

The aim of the seminar is the detailed mathematical/theoretical presentation and explanation of a research paper in transport economics. This is done by means of a seminar paper (12-15 pages) as well as a 30-minute presentation. There is a selection of research papers from renowned academic journals, which are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The theoretical models may be explained in more detail using a self-selected example and should be placed within the literature. There are two preliminary meetings (22.07.26, 12:15 - 13:45 or 14.10.26, 12:15 - 13:45), of which one is mandatory. In addition, there is a mandatory workshop (18.11.26, 12:15 - 13:45), at which everyone briefly presents their topic/research paper (3 sentences, max. 2 minutes). The presentation of the topics then takes place after submission of the seminar papers (30.12.26, 16:00) in a single-day block (11.01.2027 or 18.01.2026).
