Das Seminar befasst sich mit den Wortstrukturen, insbesondere mit Wortbildung und Flexion, und widmet sich auch den Schnittstellen der Morphologie zur Phonologie, Syntax und Semantik. Hierbei wird auch auf den Übergangsbereich der Morphologie zur Syntax anhand von Verbpartikeln, Affixoiden und anderen Phänomenen eingegangen. Im zweiten Teil des Seminars werden moderne theoretische Ansätze zur Morphologie behandelt.

This course deals with the structure of words, in particular with derivation and inflection. We will also pay attention to the interface between morphology and phonology, syntax, and semantics. The ‘grey’ zones between the morphology and syntax, such as verbal particles, affixoides and other phenomena will also be broached. The second part of the course introduces modern theoretical approaches to morphology.
