Taking heterogeneity into account in school classes and supporting students individually in the classroom is a central requirement for teachers. To do this, teachers must critically reflect on their actions and, based on this, create learning environments that take into account the complexity of student diversity. In this seminar, you will get an understanding of how teachers' thoughts and actions of student characteristics affect students' cognitive abilities. In the course of the seminar, you will study four scientific studies that illustrate general scientific procedures. On the one hand, you will learn what underlies effective actions of future teachers in individual learning environments. On the other hand, you will reflect on how you as a teacher can change your thinking and acting with regard to heterogeneous learning groups and where the limits of your scope of action lie.
