The course is offered in part within the Module “Surveys in Anglophone Literary and Cultural Studies.” This survey course will explore a selection of important themes, periods, genres, and literary practices from the 14^th to the 21st century. The course is designed to give students a foundational understanding of how literary texts and performances have responded to important events in English history from the Middle Ages to the present.
