This course offers an in-depth reading of Pankaj Mishra's "Age of Anger: A History of the Present", which examines the roots of discontent, violence, and political upheaval in today's world. Through a close analysis of the book, we will explore the complex relationships between modernity, globalization, identity politics and emotions. Throughout the semester, we will hold regular discussions and reflections to develop a deeper understanding of the challenges facing the Western world. The goal of the course is for students to develop critical thinking skills to better comprehend the complexity of contemporary political issues.
