This course provides a survey of recent international scholarship on the Holocaust, Holocaust memory, and education. Key texts include Philippe Sands’ family memoir and investigation, an edited volume on educational challenges, and recent work on both the geography of the Holocaust and women perpetrators. Special attention will be paid to contemporary debates in Holocaust Education, particularly what, if any, lessons are to be drawn from it.
