This seminar adopts a linguistic approach to the study of literature and literary phenomena. We will analyse a range of literary forms, from prose to poetry, with a focus on how linguistic structures and features shape, enable, and enrich the interpretation of literary texts. The course builds on the foundational linguistic knowledge acquired in the introductory courses, which is a necessary basis for active and successful participation in this class.
