- examine how colonial histories, cultural contexts, and social structures shape identities and emotional experiences of women in diverse societies.
- unpack the “moral crusades” of white feminism, human rights activism, universality of women’s rights and the benefits of globalization
- notice the violence of “saving the global south women”
- emphasize the importance of local histories, epistemologies, and practices, advocating for a pluralistic understanding of the world that recognizes the complexity of social realities in the Global South.
- gain insight into the lived realities of women and the ways they navigate their identities amidst global power dynamics.
