The course focuses on the question how spatio-temporal information is used to increase the quality of life of society and how it affects various groups. For this purpose, we will discuss the representation of spatio-temporal information and discuss the ways of deep exploration, effective analysis, synthesis, and visualization.
The course consists of three parts:
• Theoretical lectures, where participants will get an introduction to relevant conceptual and technical aspects;
• Workshops and brainstorming sessions followed by plenary discussions and/or work in small groups;
• A project development phase where participants will work in small groups to turn existing data of their choice into applications which consume the data and visualise it so that the target audience can benefit from it.
