2) Summer School (May 12 – 16, 2025) in cooperation with the 1st German/Netherlands Corps in Münster at its Headquarter (Münster).
The summer school in cooperation with the 1st German/Netherlands Corps allows students to get into touch with first-hand perceptions, perspectives and opinions of military personnel and defense advisors/experts. Thematically, the summer school focuses on a case of crisis management by NATO. As of now (mid-February), NATO has not yet determined the exact crisis scenario for the summer school. We will hear/discuss inputs from different experts either belonging to the military, civil society organizations or academia on the respective topics. Students may also participate in small simulations and crisis scenarios during the summer school. The presentations during the summer school are partly in German and party in English.
All students are required to read the mandatory readings, which will be provided. Additionally, assistance is relevant since they should take part in the Summer School and actively participate in the simulations and discussions.
The number of participants from Münster University is limited to 18 persons. The summer school will also be attended by students from the OTH Regensburg.
