Course Objective

The course ”Core Topics in Geographic Information Science” focuses on presenting and discussing foundational ideas of the discipline of Geoinformatics. We will do so from the perspectives of the focus areas of five research groups at the Institute for Geoinformatics as well as classic papers in the history of the field. The course will consist of discussions, impulse lectures from the Institute’s group leaders, and group work.
