This course is designed particularly for those students who will become primary school English teachers. The course aims to introduce students to the concept of storytelling in the EFL classroom and will focus on the following guiding questions: What is storytelling? What does storytelling mean? Why should storytelling be a part of EFL education (at primary school level)? How does storytelling work? What are factors to consider when picking a book for storytelling? How can we implement storytelling into our EFL lessons? Is there a place for storytelling at secondary school? Different texts will be used in class - a list of literature will be provided in the first session. This class finishes with a written paper - details will be provided in class.
