In der Forschungsgemeinschaft erweist es sich als zunehmend konsensfähig, dass der primäre Ort der Entstehung, Tradierung und des Erwerbs von Sprache die soziale Interaktion ist. Ein wichtiger Baustein im Bereich der linguistischen Ausbildung ist daher die Aneignung von Methoden der Interaktionsanalyse. Im Seminar wollen wir uns zu diesem Zweck dezidiert mit dem Ansatz der Ethnomethodologischen Konversationsanalyse (EMKA) befassen. Im Fokus des ersten Teils des Kurse steht das Kennlernen zentraler Konzepte und Beschreibungskategorien sowie die Aneignung grundlegender Analysetechniken aus dem Bereich der EMKA. Im zweiten Teil werden wir die erworbenen Kenntnisse und Fähigkeit selbst analytisch anwenden. Dabei werden wir uns mit sog. Praktiken der Reparaturinitiierung befassen. Die analytische Arbeit erfolgt in Auseinandersetzung mit empirischen Materialien. Vorkenntnisse: Es werden Kenntnisse im Bereich der computergestützten Transkription nach GAT mithilfe des EXMARaLDA Partitur Editors vorausgesetzt. Sollten entsprechende Kenntnisse nicht vorhanden sein, melden Sie sich bitte vor Kursbeginn bei mir. Leistungsanforderungen: Für die aktive Teilnahme ist die Erstellung eines Gesprächstranskripts (Umfang: 3 Min. GAT-Minimaltranskript sowie davon 1 Min. GAT-Basistranskript) sowie eine Analyse einer ausgewählten Beispielsequenz (Umfang: 5000 bis 7000 Zeichen) anzufertigen. Prüfungsleistung: Die Prüfungsleistung wird in Form einer themenbezogenen empirischen Hausarbeit erbracht (Umfang: gemäß Studienordnung).
There is a growing consensus in the linguistic research community that social interaction is the primary place where language originates, is passed on and is acquired. An important building block in the field of linguistic training is therefore the acquisition of methods of interaction analysis. In this class, we will focus on the approach of Ethnomethodological Conversation Analysis (EMKA). The first part of the class will focus on familiarizing students with central concepts and descriptive categories as well as acquiring basic analytical techniques from the field of EMCA. In the second part, we will apply the acquired knowledge and skills to the task of analysis. In doing so, we will deal with practices of minimal responsiveness. The analytical work will be carried out in confrontation with empirical materials. Prerequisites: Knowledge of computer-aided transcription according to GAT using the EXMARaLDA Partitur Editor is assumed. If you do not have this knowledge, please contact me before the beginning of the class. Credit requirements: Active participation requires the preparation of a transaction of an oral conversation (length: 3 min. GAT minimal transcript and 1 min. GAT basic transcript) as well as an analysis of a selected example sequence (length: 5000 to 7000 characters). The examination takes the form of an additional empirical paper related to the topic of the class ( length: in accordance with the curriculum).
