Regional governance, democracy, and development in Latin America have undergone significant transformations and challenges in recent decades. Latin American countries have experienced shifts in political systems, economic models, and governance structures, shaping the region's trajectory. The course will focus on Latin America's journey in regional governance, democracy, and development reflecting the complex interplay of political, economic, and social factors. While progress has been made in consolidating democratic institutions and addressing some developmental challenges, we will also reflect on the required efforts to overcome persistent issues and foster a more inclusive and sustainable future for the region.
