Latin America finds itself at the crossroads of a rapidly changing global order, where several key factors shape the region's political, economic, and social landscape. Navigating these changes requires careful attention to democratic governance, regional cooperation, and sustainable development to ensure the region's prosperity and stability in the face of evolving global dynamics. China's increasing economic presence in Latin America has become a significant factor in the region's global relations. Chinese investments, trade partnerships, and infrastructure projects contribute to economic development but also raise concerns about environmental sustainability, debt levels, and geopolitical implications. The course will address how Latin America faces a dynamic and complex global order characterised by shifting political ideologies, economic dynamics, and external influences.
