Content of the lecture (4 SWS):
Structure and binding in solid states, methods of structure determination, lattice dynamics, thermal, magnetic and optical properties of solid matter, electric and optical properties of metals and semiconductors, semiconductor interfaces, superconductivity.
Exercises (1 SWS):
There will be weekly exercises concerning the lecture, which have to be prepared by yourself. Kick-off meeting: in the first lecture on Oct. 11th 2023.
Inhalt der Vorlesung (4 SWS):
Struktur und Bindung in Festkörpern, Methoden der Strukturbestimmung, Gitterschwingungen (Phononen), thermische, magnetische und optische Eigenschaften von Festkörpern, elektronische und optische Eigenschaften von Metallen und Halbleitern, Halbleitergrenzschichten, Supraleitung.
Übungen (1 SWS):
Selbständige Bearbeitung der wöchentlich gestellten Übungsaufgaben zum Stoff der Vorlesung. Vorbesprechung: In der ersten Vorlesung am 11.10.2023.
