This course is dedicated to the "craft" of teaching EFL: analysing and designing school materials with the background of EFL research.  The first part of the course focusses on assessing textbooks using quality criteria and deals with aspects of differentiation, inter- and transcultural learning and competence-oriented curricula. In the second part, students learn how to design motivating and challenging complex competence-oriented tasks based on EFL theory from their EFL course(s). In doing so, the course also deals with aspects of inclusion. 

Please note that this MAD course specifically concerns itself with analysing and designing materials for managing the transition from primary to secondary school
