Introduction to R - SoSe 2023, Friederike Schmal, Simon Haastert

Kurszeiten: 14.03 - 23.03.2023, von 10:00 bis 11:30 und von 13:00 bis 14:30. Der Kurs findet größtenteils über Zoom statt. Eine Einführungsveranstaltung wird am 14.03 in Präsenz abgehalten (Teilnahme daran in Grundlage für die Zulassung zum Kurs). Der Kurs wird auf Deutsch gehalten.

Die Kursthemen sind: Einführung, Hilfe, Pakete, Operatoren, Funktionen, Datenimport und -export, Indizierung, Sortierung und Zusammenführung, univariate und multivariate Datenbeschreibung, Zufallszahlen und Simulationen, grundlegende Grafiken, fortgeschrittene Visualisierung und lineare Regressionen.

Prüfungsformat: Gruppenabgabe von Programmieraufgaben (27.03-14.04.2023) und anschließend einzelne mündliche Prüfung (24.04-26.04.2023)

Für den Kurs benötigen Sie Ihren eigenen Laptop/Computer.

Course schedule: March 14th 2021 to 23rd, from 10:00 to 11:30 and from 13:00 to 14:30. The course takes place via zoom. An introductory event will take place on March 14th in presence (participation in this event is the basis for admission to the course). The cource will be taught in German.

The course topics are: Introduction, help, packages, operators, functions, data import and export, indexing, sorting and merging, univariate and multivariate data description, random numbers and simulations, basic graphics, advanced visualisation and linear regressions.

Examination format: submission of a group paper (coding, 27.03-14.04.2023) and following oral examination (individual, 24.04-26.04.2023)

You'll need your own laptop/computer for the course.
