The course will explore a range of topics in morphosyntax in the frameworks of functional linguistics. It will present an overview of selected phenomena in morphosyntax, examining data from typologically diverse languages (syntactic alignment and roles, clause and sentence structure, nominalisation and more). The participants will acquire the tools for carrying out linguistics analysis and actively practice their application on languages of their interest. The course is open for students who successfully participated in the course Introduction to Syntax, or with an approval of the lecturer.
