Part 3: Individual Consultation, between Monday 8 and Friday 12 February 2021
This workshop is designed to help doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, with a piece of academic writing prepared, take their academic English to the next level.
We will delve into a variety of advanced stylistic conventions and further develop techniques for improving the clarity, effectiveness and impact of your academic writing. We will also cultivate methods for translating and incorporating jargon and specialized vocabulary into your work successfully.
In the workshop, you will be guided through editing techniques and have the opportunity to evaluate your own writing with the assistance of your peers. After applying these techniques to your text, you will have an individual consultation to resolve any specific challenges relating to your project and receive personalized, professional advice on your progress.

Maximum 15 participants. C1 level English required. Participants are required to participate in both the input session and the peer workshop via Zoom. The individual consultation is optional, but recommended. There will be some out of class preparation required.
