„Medienkompetenzrahmen NRW” (https://medienkompetenzrahmen.nrw/ ) makes the cultivation of digital literacy in school mandatory for each subject. This seminar explores the issue of teaching the complex competence of mediation while fostering digital literacy at the same time. Therefore, we will firstly look at the different sub-competence required for mediation and will then connect this theory to current insights of digital literacy. We will familiarise ourselves with guidelines and curricula and discuss criteria of a good mediation task. In the end, students will design a mediation task which also cultivates an aspect of digital literacy on their own. Therefore, active participation is necessary.
In order to exploit the full potential of this area of research, we will join forces with a seminar group of the university of Wuppertal as a Kooperationsseminar using and improving our own digital competences.
Note: Students who took the seminar on mediation in the WS 19/20 with me are advised to choose a different seminar!
