What is „culture”? How does culture influence our ways of thinking and behaving? How does culture influence child rearing, that in turn, influences children’s development? In this course we will go through the ecocultural model of child development, that explains the influence of culture on human behaviors. Students will learn about different research methods in cross-cultural psychology. Furthermore, students will apply their cross-cultural knowledge to solve inter-cultural difficulties that might emerge in different contexts, such as care institutions, the university, and working organizations.
Requisites to pass the seminar: complete the assignments and attend the virtual meetings.
