In our globalizing world, we are confronted with an ongoing, increased exchange and movement of people, goods and knowledge. Especially with regard to migration, there are diverse opinions about how to deal with the raising ethnic and cultural diversity. However, most points of views are rather based on assumptions than on concrete evidence. Thus, this seminar aims to scrutinize concepts, dynamics, effects and (potential) limits of ethnic and cultural diversity. Furthermore, diversity management at different levels of our society should be examined; with a special focus on the field of sports and physical activity.
