IMMIDD Seminar - Julia Metag

Prof. Dr. Julia Metag (Department of Communication, University of Münster) will be giving the IMMIDD Seminar in June.

The seminar will take place on June 15th at 12:00 in Großer Seminarraum (DK03 120.072), Institute of Epidemiology and Social Medicine, Domagkstraße 3, 48149 Münster.

Abstract of the talk: "This talk examines how science communication is shaped by increasingly dynamic information environments characterized by rapid technological change, platform dynamics, and contested public discourse. It introduces key concepts and discusses how emerging challenges such as AI-generated content, hate speech or misinformation influence the communication of scientific knowledge. Drawing on current research findings, the talk highlights how these developments affect both science communicators and public engagement with science."
