Here you can download the ICE Trinidad and Tobago (ICE-T&T). The ICE-T&T zip file contains the following documents: 

  • Texts files of the spoken part of the ICE-T&T (S1A-001 – S2B-050)

  • Texts files of the written part of the ICE-T&T (W1A-001 – W2F-020)

  • Manual for the ICE-T&T
  • 2 Excel files providing the background information about the corpus texts, the speakers of the spoken part and the writers of the written part of the ICE-T&T
  • 2 Excel files containing the word count information about the corpus texts

Before downloading the ICE-T&T corpus, please read and agree to the following terms and conditions of the licence agreement.

International Corpus of English – Trinidad and Tobago
Licence Agreement

By downloading the International Corpus of English – Trinidad and Tobago, the Licensee agrees as follows:

1. Definition

“Corpus” refers to the Trinidad and Tobago component of the International Corpus of English. 

“Institution” refers to the non-profit academic institution that the Licensee is a member of.

“Licence” means the licence granted to the Licensee to use the Corpus in accordance with the terms and conditions of this agreement. 

2. General Terms and Conditions

The Corpus must be used for non-profit academic research purposes only. The Licence cannot be transferred, lent, or re-sold.

The Licensee agrees not to reproduce or redistribute the Corpus or to use all or any part of the Corpus texts in any commercial product or service. A copy of the Corpus may be made for backup purposes.

Copyright in all texts in the Corpus is retained by the original copyright holders.

The Corpus may be fully installed onto the Licensee’s computer. The Licensee is allowed to make copies of the Corpus on computers within the Institution.

The Licence entitles all staff and students of the Institution to make use of the Corpus installed on the computers within the Institution.

It is the responsibility of the Licensee to ensure that the Corpus cannot be accessed from outside the Institution. The Licence does not entitle the Licensee to include the Corpus in a public-access internet site.

It is the responsibility of the Licensee to ensure that other users of the Corpus within the Institution are made aware of the terms of the Licence.

Publications based on the Corpus may include citations from texts only in a way which would be permitted under the fair dealings provision of copyright law.

All publications based on the Corpus must give credit to the International Corpus of English. 

The Licensee agrees not to re-distribute the Corpus to any third party.
